Euro AES Returns to the UK

For the first time in 23 years, the Audio Engineering Society returns to London for its European convention slated for May 22 to 25, 2010. “And the feedback from exhibitors and attendees has been extremely positive,” says AES executive director Roger Furness.

Deliberately placed in a more intimate and centrally located smaller venue, the 128th AES convention takes place at the Novotel London West Convention Centre, near the Hammersmith underground station. The convention will be arranged so the exhibits and technical program sessions are close together and complement each other.

Exhibitors from countries around the globe—from large to boutique firms—will introduce new products and technologies at the show and the London Exhibit Hall is said to be filling fast with only a few spaces left.

The convention’s technical program offers more than 200 papers (a record number) with topics ranging from audio for broadcast, games, sound reinforcement, recording and post-production. The official AES hotel is the Novotel London West, with the convention located within the complex, and attendees can reserve hotel rooms using the PDF form on the AES Website. The AES has reserved a block of rooms at special rates for attendees, so make sure to mention AES in any communication with the hotel. And book those rooms today!

Additional details on the exhibits, technical program and registration will soon be available on the Audio Engineering Society’s Website. For information, updates and late-breaking announcements about the 128th AES convention, visit www.aes.org.
