Ex’pression College Announces New South Wing

Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown, Ex’pression CEO Peter Laanen, Ex’pression president and founder Gary Platt and Ex’pression dean Chris Coan

Ex’pression College for Digital Arts in Emeryville, Calif., officially announced the expansion of its state-of-the-art education facility, adding more than 20,000 square feet to its already 65,000-square-foot campus. Ex’pression hosted the grand opening of the new South Wing on Friday, October 29, 2004, during the AES Convention.

The new space will provide additional classrooms and offices in a building adjacent to the main campus. The expansion will free up space in the main building to add a new 12-station digital audio workstation and MIDI lab for the Sound Arts program.

Oakland Mayor and former California State Governor, Jerry Brown, served as guest host and cut the ribbon, while representatives from the digital media industry and the Chamber of Commerce attended the event.
