FogoLabs Wins Three 2007 DVDA Excellence Awards

Montreal-based FogoLabs, a leading producer of concert films and music DVDs, received three awards at the 2007 DVDA Excellence Awards ceremony at the Chaplin Theater at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. The DVDA Excellence Awards are presented by the DVD Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of DVD and related technologies.

This year, FogoLabs received the 2007 Facility Excellence Award. FogoLabs also received awards for Audio Excellence and Music DVD Excellence for its work on Courage & Patience & Grit: Great Big Sea in Concert.

“We are extremely honored to be recognized by the DVD Association and our clients who nominated us,” says FogoLabs president Francois Lamoureux. “Our engineering team is second to none in the field of entertainment technology, and the awards they have earned validate our pride in their work. This year, we are especially pleased that the DVD Association has recognized us with the Facility Excellence Award. Our sincere thanks go to the DVD Association for these prestigious honors.”

Previously, FogoLabs has been recognized at the DVDA Excellence Awards for projects including Rush R30: The 30th Anniversary World Tour (Navigation Design and Implementation Excellence, 2006); Coltrane’s A Love Supreme Live by the Branford Marsalis Quartet (Audio Excellence and Music DVD Excellence, 2005) and Willie Nelson Live in Amsterdam (Excellence in Audio, 2002).
