Fostex introduces its PD 606 (pictured) and 204 digital field recorders, designed for demanding remote audio applications. The PD606 and PD204 are said to resemble the PD 6, retaining the PD 6’s popular features while also offering updated features.
New features include full-size DVD-RAM disc recording, 8-track recording through the digital I/O, dual drive recording, power efficiency, digital mixer input routing, HD drive access through USB 2, high-resolution LED meters, tri-level sync and more.
Fostex now offers a choice of power options that include NiCad and IDX Endura cell technologies. The devices also allow for simultaneous recording of 6-track and 2-track files.
