Harman Upgrades HiQnet

The Harman Pro Group previewed System Architect 1.5, which includes major upgrades associated with system-wide control, such as a Scheduler, more versatile preset configuration and enhanced communication with the outside world. When a Custom Control Panel needs to be used as a template across several System Architect Venue files, the new Panel Readdress Wizard comes into its own. On importing an existing Custom Control Panel into a Venue file, a step-by-step wizard drives the process of reassigning all the controls on the panel, device by device.

The values of all the controls on a Custom Control Panel can now also be stored and recalled with the new Panel Presets feature. These values can either be recalled directly from the panel for live sound use or, to satisfy more complex install requirements, from other Custom Control Panels within the system design.

A number of updates to the Control Toolbox have also been added including two new controls: one to trigger device GPIO control outputs either manually or automatically from system events and a second to configure the system to react to device GPIO control inputs.

System Architect 1.5 will be released this month. Additional information can be found at hiqnet.harmanpro.com.
