Drawing on the technological developments designed into the PR20 dynamic microphone, Heil Sound’s Fin uses a proprietary large-diaphragm dynamic element and Heil magnet-structure combination. With a frequency response of 60 to 18k Hz, output level at -55 dB @ 1 kHz and concise cardioid pickup pattern, the Fin can be used in a wide variety of applications.The Fin has a cardioid pattern with uniform front to back discrimination.
The Fin is outfitted with four blue LED lamps mounted inside the art-deco-show chrome body of the microphone that can be activated from a mixer’s phantom power supply. A switch on the underside of the mic turns the lamps on or off. A blue-molded internal foam windscreen inside the grille enhances the looks and combines with a specially tooled Sorbothane® shock-mount, which combines shock absorption, vibration isolation and vibration damping characteristics to protect the mic element. Standard microphone stand threads allow the Fin to be mounted on booms or floor stands.
