GCI Technologies announces the expansion of its iKEY Audio digital recording and audio accessories brand to include the M-Series of professional self-powered active studio monitors. The M-Series comprises three bi-amplified, magnetically shielded models: the 5-inch, 75-watt M505 ($219.99); 6.5-inch, 90W M606 ($269.99); and 8-inch, 125W M808 ($319.99).
All three M-Series monitors feature an attractively designed MDF cabinet with radius edges, red-woven glass aramid fiber-composite woofer and 1-inch soft-dome tweeter. The series also includes XLR, TRS and RCA connectors, slotted ports for reduced distortion and improved imaging, volume control, and adjustable high-frequency cut/boost control with a frequency range of 50 to 20k Hz on the M505 and M606 models, and 45 to 20k Hz on the M808.
The 10-inch, 175W high-efficiency Class-D amplified M10s ($419.99) subwoofer features a built-in crossover for low-end clarity and definition, state-of-the-art pass-through capability for direct connection to the monitors, 10-ohm balanced ¼-inch TRS and XLR inputs, unbalanced RCA input and a frequency range of 35 to 150 Hz.
