iZotope, T-Pain Announce T-Pain Effect Software

iZotope announces that it has partnered with Grammy-Award winning and Platinum selling artist T-Pain to develop vocal processing software called The T-Pain Effect, which emulates the vocal sound that T-Pain had originally cultivated using Antares’ Auto-Tune software.

As the exclusive provider of The T-Pain Effect, iZotope is working directly with T-Pain to develop his sound through iZotope’s award-winning technology and bring new vocal processing possibilities to mainstream and professional products worldwide.

T-Pain is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer and actor, who began his career as a rapper in the group Nappy Headz. In 2005, on his debut album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, he used Auto-Tune on his vocal tracks to create the voice-modification feature that became known as the “T-Pain Effect.”

Since the release of his debut album, T-Pain has produced or been featured on numerous hits, including 16 Number One records. He won one Grammy Award with Kanye West for “Good Life” and the second with Jamie Foxx for “Blame It.” Reportedly, T-Pain has sold more than 60 million ringtones to date, incorporating his music and music in which he is featured.
