JBL Professional’s Ceiling Speaker Configurator (CSC) software quickly identifies the appropriate JBL in-ceiling loudspeaker models and system design for any environment depending on a few simple parameters.
The CSC software allows users to input the characteristics of a venue in layman’s terms and immediately receive a ceiling speaker design. For music systems, they simply enter the kind of background or foreground music desired. For paging systems, they enter what kind of activity is taking place. Lastly, they provide the floor space and ceiling height. From there, the CSC software does the rest, offering up to three appropriate JBL in-ceiling loudspeaker models for the space, where to tap them (if it’s a 70V/100V system), how many to use, how far apart to space them and the maximum volume available with each particular design.
To take the design to the next level of sophistication, such as identifying specific speaker locations or using tighter layout densities, you can use JBL’s free downloadable Distributed System Design (DSD) software after
your CSC design to further refine the system.
The CSC also features a Subwoofer Calculator that identifies the number of in-ceiling subwoofers necessary for either extended bass or superior extended bass applications.
CSC is available for free download at www.jblpro.com in the “Ceiling Speaker Configuration Software” listing under the “Software Downloads” section.
