Escondido, Calif.-based rental sound company Sound Image deployed a JBL VerTec line array system for Jimmy Buffett’s recent concerts, which took place at Boston’s Fenway Park. The system, providing smooth and even coverage for 35,000 audience members, demonstrated JBL’s reliability in outdoor stadium events.
A Sound Image crew headed by FOH mixer Rich Davis set up 80 2×15-inch full-size VT4889 line array elements and 40 VT4880 full-size arrayable subwoofers. For the system setup, Sound Image relied on supplemental VerTec equipment from regional owner Scorpio Sound (West Bridgewater, Mass.).
