High temperatures in Chicago didn’t cause music fans and bands from attending this year’s Lollapalooza show, where numerous Shure mics were seen throughout the festival stages.

“With as many as five people singing at any one time, our vocals are really important, so naturally Shure microphones are our top choice for vocals and we always insist on a Beta 58A whenever possible,” says Mike Jasinski, guitarist/keyboardist for The 1900s. “We had a really good time at Lollapalooza and everybody said the sound was great.”

Love & Special Sauce, M.I.A., My Morning Jacket, Patti Smith, Peter Bjorn and John, the Polyphonic Spree, Iggy Pop, The Roots, Snow Patrol, Son Volt, Spoon, Regina Spektor, TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and many more.
“There were loads of Shure products everywhere I looked, be they wired mics, wireless systems or in-ear monitors,” says Richard Sandrok, regional artist relations manager for Shure. “I was fortunate enough to speak to a lot of the artists and engineers who put the equipment to good use. All were very happy with the performance of their Shure gear they used both onstage and off. I was floored by Patti Smith when she told me she’s the ‘biggest fan of Shure.’ What do you say to that?”
