Manhattan Center Upgrades Its TV2 Studio

Manhattan Center Studios (MCS) is experiencing an increase in demand for its upgraded TV2 studio. Journalist Ed Gordon is taping his new national TV One show Our World With Black Enterprise in the studio. Guests for the show who have appeared include Russell Simmons (pictured right with Gordon), Spike Lee, Jesse Jackson and Reverend Al Sharpton.

“Doing our show from the Manhattan Center has been great!” Gordon says. “To be housed in the building where so many wonderful performances have been held is fantastic. Every time I walk in the door, I think about the grand stars who have graced the Center.”

Manhattan Center operates two recording and television studios, two live venues and production spaces—the Hammerstein Ballroom and the Grand Ballroom—and post-production editing suites with full HD capability.

“Black Enterprises and M2 Post’s new show has really found a perfect home with us in our Studio 2 facility,” adds Daphne Walter, MCS’ director of video productions and operations. “MCS’ versatility enables them to stay timely and do remote interviews due to our live capabilities. The real value to Studio 2’s facilities is its control room, which also serves as our ‘inside truck’ for our Hammerstein and Grand Ballrooms.”
