Wireless microphone manufacturer Nady recently introduced a specially customized VHF wireless system for bass guitars: the Encore 200. The Encore 200 began shipping in September of 2004.
The Encore 200’s key features include Proprietary Enhanced Headroom™ for maximum clarity, even with high-output active pickups, and is designed to accept levels four to seven times higher than standard instrument wireless systems; Bass Boost™ adjusts receiver output for the right bass punch; and an input level adjust control on the transmitter to optimize sound.
In addition, the Encore 200 offers a half-rack receiver with retractable front panel dual antennas, DigiTRU Diversity™ for optimum range and drop-out protection, five LED RF and AF displays for monitoring incoming signal strength and audio level, and more.
The Encore 200 also features 120 dB of dynamic range and operates on selectable frequencies between 169 and 216 MHz, with a typical range of 250 feet (up to 500-plus feet with optimum line-of-sight). Although the Encore 200 is designed for bass guitars, this system can also be used with guitars and other instruments for applications with the same performance demands.
