U.S. distributor American Music & Sound (AM&S) introduced two new loudspeaker products from NetCIRA™, a division of Fostex Japan, at this year’s InfoComm tradeshow (June 8 to 11, 2005). Debuting were the new ES6300 EtherSound-enabled speaker and the SH-6 installation speaker.

The new ES6300 is a powered speaker/receiver that receives audio data converted to Digigram EtherSound protocol and employs the same 4-inch magnetically shielded full-range driver and chassis as the Fostex 6301B speaker system. The ES6300, which features a built-in Class-D power amplifier rated at 10W output, includes rotary volume control on the front and remote control of audio channel and volume level using the LR-1 remote via the RJ-45 remote terminal (provided).

An additional phone jack input is available on the rear panel of the ES6300 for analog source monitoring with a mono phones output. The switching power supply allows for worldwide use. The rugged, all-metal, compact enclosure may optionally be bracket-mounted.

The SH-6 compact two-way ceiling-mount speaker provides good sound reproduction via its 6.5-inch coaxial unit. Ideal for speech and background music, the SH-6 supports a frequency response of 55 to 20k Hz and has a rated input of 50W (100W program). Output SPL is 88 dB/W (1 m).
