Nexo S.A. and allied partner Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems have expanded the Nexo GEO Series loudspeaker line with the GEO D and GEO Sub, providing additional options for fixed and mobile applications that require affordable, one-box vertical array systems.

The GEO D is intended to fill the gap between the existing GEO S and GEO T product lines, in terms of both cost and system SPL capability. The GEO Sub is a powerful sub-bass cabinet for use with the GEO D and other Nexo products, including GEO T.

Design features include low- and mid-frequency output from single
12-inch components mounted to proprietary GEO Directivity Phase Devices; advanced hypercardioid low-frequency control from unique side-mount 8-inch drivers; single-component array design, with simple, ergonomic flying and stage-stackable rigging systems; coherent wave propagation from Nexo’s proprietary Hyperboloid Reflective Wavesource™; and compatibility with EtherSound™ connectivity, GeoSoft2 software and GeoSite inclinometer.

The GEO D features a single 12-inch and two rear 8-inch neodymium drivers for low-frequency pattern control, along with a 3-inch voice coil and 1.4-inch throat driver mounted on a hyperboloid reflective wavesource. The GEO D provides an overall frequency response of 60 to 19k Hz and input sensitivity of 105dB SPL (1W @ 1m), with a configurable horizontal dispersion of 90 to 120 degrees. Connections include AMPHENOL EP6 6-pole.

The GEO Sub will provide low-end support for GEO D systems with cardioid sub and low-frequency pattern control as a stand-alone unit, or when integrated within a GEO D array. The trapezoid design maintains high efficiency and low distortion, and can withstand the most demanding program material. The cardioid pattern control focuses energy to the front, while reducing SPL behind the cabinet. Components include a single 18-inch and dual 12-inch drivers, providing sensitivity of 103dB SPL (1W @ 1m), and with an overall frequency response of 33 to 250 Hz. Connections include two NL4MP Speakon 4-pole.

The 10-degree trapezoidal GEO D and GEO Sub cabinets are constructed of sturdy Baltic Birch ply and covered in a structured black coating, with molded black metal grilles. All cabinets include an integrated flying system, with angle adjustments ranging from 0.20 to 10 degrees.

Nexo NX242 Digital TDcontoller (Temperature Displacement Controller) presets are precisely matched to GEO D and GEO Sub enclosures, and include sophisticated protection systems.
