Separate stereo sum inputs are provided for DVD, CD and tape players. Euroblock connectors are used for mic/line inputs and main outputs.

According to Gary Jones, regional sales manager for Altec Lansing Professional, the 1662A “can be easily configured as either a stereo mixer or two mono mixers. The input tone controls allow each input to be manipulated independent of the house EQ.”
