Producer Michael Fine Taps KAS Music & Sound for New Album

Grammy Award–winning producer Michael Fine brought 58 nuns from the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary congregation in Scranton, Penn., to KAS Music & Sound, a part of Kaufman Astoria Studios in New York City, to record their new album.

“The Sisters had originally thought to record the album in their chapel,” says Fine, “but I knew that a professional studio environment would help them create the best possible and most professional recording.”

“The sisters were amazing,” adds executive creative director Joe Castellon. “They came into an environment that they had no experience with, and in a short time, they had acclimated to the process like professionals. They were very professional in their demeanor but were also a whole lot of fun!”

The album, to be titled With One Voice, was conceived almost three years ago, when fans of the group continually encouraged them to record their songs.
