RCF Introduces ART732-A, ART735-A Active Speakers

RCF is expanding its flagship ART 700 Series of two-way polypropylene molded active speakers with the introduction of the ART732-A and ART735-A, which are now shipping in the U.S. The 12-inch and 15-inch models feature a 1.4-inch exit, 3-inch voice coil neodymium high frequency compression driver said to achieve more than 130dB maximum SPL.

The company designed the low frequency transducers to provide a linear response and a precise, deep low frequency control; with a crossover point at 900 Hz, they allow the high frequency transducer to produce a more accurate vocal intelligibility. The CMD matching of the transducers is said to create a musical cabinet.

RCF states that its woofer and subwoofer designs allow for 6- to 7dB more output, as well as smoothing out the sound characteristics of the cabinet in long-term performance applications. The inside/outside voice coil design promises better heat dissipation and high-quality mechanical resistance for accurate sound reproduction. Precision neodymium magnet compression drivers offer advantages in system portability weight along with high frequency clarity with specific attention paid to magnetic circuit polarization for optimum thermal immunity and long-term program handling capability.

The Red Dot Design Award-winning cabinets are designed to dampen down vibrations even at maximum volume settings. The reflex porting promises better frequency and pattern control. The cabinets are equipped with ergonomically designed forged aluminum handles with rubber handgrips for portability, as well as equipped with pole mount cup for stand mounting, M10 flypoints for rigging, and angle cut on cabinet for use as a floor monitor.
