Rose City Sound & Lighting (Portland Ore.; www.soundlighting.com) has purchased a quantity of Face Audio F1200TS and F250TS power amplifiers for its rental inventory.
Eric Iverson, production manager at Rose City, set up a series of comparisons with Crest, Crown and Lab.Gruppen amplifiers before deciding on Face Audio. “Face Audio produces a gimmick-free, hassle-free amplifier at a great price that looks good and sounds great,” Iverson says. The amps will be used with Rose City’s SLS and Stage Accompany boxes, as well as the company’s EAW subs.
Also increasing its Face Audio inventory is Studio 33 (Corona, Calif.; www.studio33.net). While the primary focus is on touring and live events—including backline, lighting and sound rentals—Studio 33 was asked to upgrade a church sound system. Owner Brian Jackson explains, “Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church in San Bernardino, California, approved an amplifier upgrade to the church. Both the worship leader and the sound tech noticed a huge difference in the overall quality of the sound once we installed the Face Audio amplifiers.”
