Rycote offers the S-Series microphone suspension and windshield system. Comprising a one-piece web suspension made entirely of durable, flexible, lightweight plastic, the design is said to eliminate the need for elastics and is engineered to fit all microphone diameters, from 19 to 25 mm.
A “pinch-release” allows the user to instantly change the position of the suspension. The windshield itself features a twist-lock system that attaches it to the chassis ring for quick, easy release. The acoustic fur covering is integral and provides no drop in performance, with less than 30dB wind suppression.
An XLR cable with Neutrik NC3 (XLR-style) connectors with gold-finish pins and the new pistol grip handle come standard. S-Series is priced between Rycote’s Softie and Modular Windshield Systems.
