A Digidesign ICON studio at SAE Amsterdam
SAE Institute has announced a new Digidesign Pro Tools curriculum and associated certification for students enrolled in its Audio Technology program. The new courses, to be offered with educational partner Digidesign, will provide complete Pro Tools training to students worldwide as the entire network of SAE campuses become designated Digidesign Certified Training Centers.
Topics outlined in the new curriculum are designed to teach foundational and advanced skills for the Pro Tools environment, as well as give students an understanding of the capabilities of such equipment in the studio. Digidesign’s “Pro Tools 101” certification will become a standard inclusion with SAE’s Audio Technology program diploma.
This announcement follows several significant purchases and upgrades for many of SAE Institutes’ studios, including the purchase of 10 Digidesign ICON integrated console environments.
Concurrent upgrades to various SAE campuses include more than 30 of SAE’s numerous workstations to the Pro Tools|HD Accel core DSP engine and 20 units of the Focusrite Liquid Channel microphone preamp.
SAE supplies each student with an Pro Tools LE recording system, including a Digidesign Mbox interface and a fully loaded Apple iBook G4 laptop.
