Saul Zonana Taps Adrian Belew to Produce New Album

New York-based singer/songwriter Saul Zonana is currently recording his next release with noted songwriter/musician/producer Adrian Belew, best known for his work with King Crimson, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Primus and the Talking Heads, among others.

Zonana has produced and recorded his last two releases at his own studio, which now comprises the entire first floor of his New York home.

Zonana’s 2001 release, Guinea Pigs, was produced and engineered by Peter Moshay (Mariah Carey, Fishbone, Hall and Oates) at A-Pawling Studio and Peter Denenberg (Spin Doctors, Martin Sexton, Deep Purple) at Acme studios. This album includes the song “Fool on a Bicycle,” which was a winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and earned third place in the Billboard World Songwriting Contest in 2003. In addition, the track “Afraid of Dying” was recently picked up for the film Will Unplugged, set for release in 2005.

Next month, Zonana will open for the Crash Test Dummies on the Southwest leg of their current tour. Visit his Website at www.saulzonana.com.
