The new freePORT wireless systems will be shown at Summer NAMM (Booth #1116, held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis from July 22 to 24, 2005). The systems are available in three plug-and-play versions—Vocal, Presentation and Instrument—which ensure reliable transmission of clear and natural-sounding audio across four switchable UHF frequencies. The systems will be available the beginning of July 2005 for $499.
The freePORT Vocal set for singers includes a handheld transmitter outfitted with a cardioid pattern dynamic capsule that offers clarity and natural sound, and also includes a compact diversity receiver, with front-mounted antennas for improved reception, an AC power wall adapter, a mic clip and manual.
The freePORT Presentation set has been optimized for speech applications, including theater performances and corporate events, and comprises an omni-directional, clip-on lavalier condenser microphone, a sturdy body pack transmitter and a compact diversity receiver with wall adapter and manual.
The freePORT Instrument set is configured for electric guitars or any instrument with a 1/4-inch jack socket output and combines the body pack transmitter and diversity receiver with a guitar cable. A wall adapter and manual are also included.
The switchable UHF frequencies allow up to four systems to be operated simultaneously. Diversity technology optimizes reception, while a bright, natural sound quality is offered through the integrated dynamic processing. The compact diversity receiver offers XLR balanced and 1/4-inch jack unbalanced output options.
