The Sony Oxford Reverb plug-in
Sony has restructured its Loops for ACID™ libraries into the new Sony Sound Series™: Loops & Samples line. The new versions feature three tiers: Premium Collection ($99.95, MSRP), Standards Collection ($59.95) and Classics Collection ($29.95, only available direct form the Sony Media Software store, www.sony.com/mediasoftware).
Optimized for use in Sony’s ACID music creation programs, these collections of .WAV files are compatible with PC and Macintosh programs. Applications that recognize the ACID file-format metadata will be able to use this information for time stretching and phase hifting, as well.
In other Sony Electronics news, the company has expanded its line of Oxford Plug-Ins with the addition of the Reverb Plug-In, a reverberation generator designed to complement the full range of Oxford software applications.
The Reverb plug-in is compatible with Pro Tools|HD Accel, HD, LE; Mac OS 9 and X; and WinXP platforms, and is available at a suggested list price of $1,095 for the PTH-REVG2 (HD version) and $550 for the PTL-REVG2 (LE version).
