SoundExchange Seeks Artists Seeking Digital Performance Royalties

SoundExchange is looking for artists of all genres whose music is played on satellite radio, Internet radio and cable/direct TV to give them a check for the royalties they are owed.

SoundExchange Inc. is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit performance rights organization composed of recording companies (including Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and more than 850 independent labels such as Alligator Records, Beggars Group, Benson Music Group, Koch International and Tommy Boy Entertainment, among others) and artists united in receiving fair compensation for the licensing of their music in the ever-expanding digital world.

Artists must register with SoundExchange by the end of the year to get their royalties from the first billing cycle (1996-2000).
