Spectrasonics has released Stylus RMX Xpanded ($399), which includes the Stylus RMX Realtime Groove Module virtual instrument software with all five of the company’s award-winning SAGE Xpander expansion libraries: Backbeat, Retro Funk, Metamorphosis, Burning Grooves and Liquid Grooves. The addition of the Xpanders’ 5.5 gigabytes of acoustic drum and percussion grooves enhance Stylus RMX’s 7.4GB remix-oriented core library.
Stylus RMX Xpanded also includes the Multi Library, offering hundreds of multi-groove patches that combine the Xpanders in creative ways. A bonus section offers grooves from Vocal Planet, Distorted Reality and more.
Xpander grooves feature a wide range of tones and styles, were produced by Spectrasonics founder Eric Persing and feature top session drummers including Abe Laboriel Jr., Gregg Bissonette, Bob Wilson, Eric Boseman and John Ferraro.
Stylus RMX is fully compatible with all current Mac OS X computers including Apple’s Intel Mac hardware, and with all current Windows operating systems, including Vista. Stylus RMX works in host sequencers including Apple Logic, Digidesign Pro Tools, MOTU Digital Performer, Steinberg Cubase, Ableton Live, Cakewalk SONAR and others.
