Stardraw.com has released Stardraw Control RC2 (Release Candidate 2) and is scheduled for availability later this quarter (Q4).
Stardraw Control generates stand-alone, customized control programs. Featuring a drag-and-drop interface and an intuitive design environment, installers can configure systems and control them without having to write code. Stardraw Control can communicate with and control any device using protocols including TCP/IP, RS232, DMX, IR, EtherSound, CobraNet, SNMP, UDP and more.
Stardraw Control’s open architecture means that manufacturers can offer software control without the overhead of developing exclusive (and limited) software applications for individual products, and because Stardraw Control communicates with any existing device-specific Application Programming Interface (API), manufacturers can add support of their products without changing existing code.
Among the fixes and improvements for this version are Topology View, which shows logical system interconnection, is faster and easier to use with intelligent auto-routing, rubber-banding and bridging. In addition, New Product and Actions Wizards simplify the creation of new controllable products and defines the effect of any control in the final user interface.
