Studio Center Acquires CreativEdge Film & Video

William “Woody” Prettyman, CEO of commercial production house Studio Center in Virginia Beach, Va., announced the acquisition of CreativEdge Video & Film, also located in Virginia Beach.

Studio Center was founded 41 years ago and comprises 18 studios in four cities: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Memphis and Virginia Beach. It produces radio and TV commercial audio, audio for documentaries, educational software, computer games, toys, Websites, corporate training programs and in-store announcements for clients in all 50 states and 23 countries around the world. CreativEdge Film & Video is a television production company founded in 1983 by Gary Ball and Elaine Roberts.

“This acquisition makes sense for us,” Prettyman says. “Our goal is to make it easier for our customers to get total production from one place. Studio Center can now write, voice, mix, edit and shoot TV or radio production 24 hours a day for our customers with only one call.”

CreativEdge co-founder Ball remarked, “Elaine and I are thrilled to be moving on to our next adventure and are proud to be leaving our company in such good hands.” A GSA qualified vendor, CreativEdge will continue to provide services in every aspect of production, from concept and scripting to online editing and graphics.
