TC Electronics announced that a series of System 6000 stereo plug-ins will now be available for Pro Tools HD. Digidesign's HD DSP card provides a processing infrastructure powerful enough to host a choice selection of stereo reverbs and mastering tools from TC's flagship system. With the new TDM plug-ins, TC Electronic will be making a strong contribution to the Pro Tools platform and continue the work that started with MasterX and TC Tools.
With the System 6000 plug-ins from TC Electronic, some of the most sophisticated algorithms for mixing and mastering will now be available for the Pro Tools platform. TC Electronic expects four new TDM plug-ins, MD3 ($1595 MSRP), VSS3 ($875 MSRP), DVR2 ($745 MSRP) and NonLin2 ($495 MSRP), to be available during the second half of 2005. Prices are preliminary. TC's commitment to Pro Tools HD is underlined by the fact that TC Electronic now re-establishes distribution of its TDM plug-ins through TC's normal sales channels.
