TCS Audio announced that its TM Series loudspeaker products are now shipping. Comprising 12 models—the TM10X, TM10XW, TM112, TM112R, TM112W, TM115, TM115R, TM115W, TM206, TM206W, TM215S and TM215SW—TM Series loudspeakers have been designed for use in ballrooms, music clubs, performance theaters, houses of worship and small outdoor events. TCS also recently introduced the new TA4000 power amplifier, the latest addition to the company’s TA Series power amplifier line.

All TM Series products are finished with a rugged Duratex™ exterior and feature a foam-backed, powder-coated, 16-gauge perforated steel grille to protect the transducer compliment. The TM112 and TM115 are available in reversed versions for mirror-image stage monitor applications. For permanent installations, all TM Series loudspeakers feature either Omnimount™ compatibility or include multiple 3/8-16-inch captive nuts for mounting. Models TM10X, TM112, TM115 and TM215S also include pole cups for use on speaker stands or pole-mount applications.

The TM10X, TM112 and TM115 models feature slanted back enclosures, which makes them particularly applicable for use onstage. In fixed installations, these enclosures also make an excellent choice for wedge placement against the ceiling area. These models also include four parallel NL4 Speakon connectors, with two on the back and one on either side when used in a monitor configuration.

The TM10X features a 10-inch high-powered B&C neodymium coaxial transducer mounted in a vented enclosure that can be used in full-range or bi-amp configurations. The TM112 is a full-range, two-way design featuring a 12-inch high-powered B&C neodymium LF transducer in a vented enclosure with a 1.4-inch exit B&C titanium HF compression driver coupled to a rotatable 80×60-degree horn to achieve desired pattern control. The TM112 supports full-range or bi-amp operation. The TM115 is a lightweight, full-range, two-way system with a 15-inch high-powered B&C neodymium LF transducer in a vented enclosure with a 1.4-inch exit B&C titanium HF compression driver coupled to a rotatable 80×60-degree horn for controlled dispersion. The TM115 supports full-range or bi-amp operation.

The new TA4000 power amplifier was designed with Class-A/B topology and includes the company’s CTM™ (Constant Thermal Monitoring) technology and parallel-linked XLR connectors for easy cascading of multiple amplifiers. The TA4000 delivers 2,000 watts per channel of power @ 4 ohms. Designed for use at large venue concert tours, music performance halls and festivals, the TA4000 has a signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 100 dB and a THD factor of less than 0.03% (20 to 20k @ 3 dB below clipping).

To ensure cool running operation, the TA4000 incorporates TCS Audio’s Constant Thermal Monitoring technology. CTM manages the amplifier’s variable speed fan, which is mounted directly to the amplifier’s heat sink directing air across the heat sink’s fins in perpendicular fashion.

Additional TA4000 features include binding post and Speakon output connectors; switches for easy selection of parallel, bridged or stereo operation, and power limiting on/off; and ground lift. Channel indicators include LEDs for signal, 50-percent and 80-percent power, clip and limiter.

TCS Audio’s new TA4000 power amplifier carries an MSRP of $1,995 and will be available in Q4 of 2005.
