Turbosound has joined the American Music & Sound family of brands effective October 1, 2007. Turbosound's new managing director is Simon Blackwood; Brad Stephens, who managed the Turbosound brand while with Sennheiser, continues his role as national sales manager.

The 123rd AES Convention will see Turbosound introducing the TA-500DP self-powered, three-way, full-range loudspeaker with onboard, user-adjustable DSP. Available in both horizontal and vertical orientations, with or without integrated flyware aimed at touring applications, the TA-500DP’s patented Polyhorn™ devices ensure seamless arrayability over a tightly focused 50x25-degree (HxV) coverage pattern. Additionally, Turbosound will feature the NuQ series of networkable self-powered loudspeakers. Comprising efficient Class-D amplifiers using 96kHz sample rates for pristine audio quality, the NuQ series offers outstanding performance and real-time network control.
