Yamaha is now shipping its portable GO46 ($449) FireWire audio/MIDI interface, which offers four audio inputs and six audio outputs. GO46 features two front-mounted combo mic/line inputs with independently selectable phantom power and gain controls, two inserts, a headphone output with independent level control and resolution up to 24-bit/192kHz.
The GO46 is bus-powered for mobility and comes with a cross-platform software suite including Cubase LE, Groove Agent SE, HALion SE, Sample Tank SE, Sonic Synth 2 SE, Amplitube LE and T-Racks EQ, as well as an ASIO 2.0 driver. DTS and Dolby AC3 playback compatibility for working in surround are also included.
