More than 600 audio industry professionals gathered at the Marriott Marquis on Saturday, December 1, to honor the nominees and winners at the 17th Annual Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards. Highlights of the show included the awarding of custom Gibson guitars to Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, recipients of the Les Paul Award, and a touching tribute to legendary engineer Roy Halee, the newest inductee into the TEC Hall of Fame, presented by Phil Ramone and accepted by Halee’s three children.
