615 Music Lauds Lauer in Song

NBC's "Today Show" and 615 Music have a new theme song, entitled "You've Got to Watch and See Matt Lauer," for the 10th anniversary of NBC's "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?"

New York, NY and Nashville, TN (November 28, 2011)–NBC’s Today Show and 615 Music have a new theme song, entitled “You’ve Got to Watch and See Matt Lauer,” for the 10th anniversary of the show’s “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?”

The song is part of a new promotional campaign supporting the Today Show anchor on his trip around the world. “You’ve Got to Watch and See Matt Lauer” was composed by songwriter Lindsey Williams and 615 Music’s executive vice president Randy Wachtler, and was sung by Deb Thomas and Paul Vann. The track was born out of 615 Music’s long-standing partnership with NBC to create original scores and songs for the network’s programming.

“People wake up to the Today Show around the world, and ‘Where in the World is Matt Lauer?’ is a segment that everyone looks forward to,” said Wachtler. “Our longtime collaboration with NBC continues to generate some of the most creative and exciting projects that we’ve ever had the pleasure of working on.”

In 2010, 615 Music received a Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Original Song category for its composition of the Today Show theme song, “Your Day is Today.”
