Victoria, Australia (August 28, 2014)—Songwriter and producer Stuart Crichton has adopted the API Box for his recording facility in Australia.
Crichton has been a contributing factor in numerous top ten hits internationally, primarily in the U.K. He consulted Deb Sloss at Studio Connections Australia, API’s Australian distributor, when looking to make the addition to his home studio.
“The API Box has totally changed the quality of my mixes, adding the warmth and width of a large room console,” Crichton shares. “The ease of set up and use is amazing – so straight-forward.”
Crichton, who works with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Guy Sebastian and Pet Shop Boys, remarked, “The mic pres and EQs are that beautiful API sound that many crave. The bus compressor is also now a major part of my mixes. Once I’m done mixing, I put it over the whole mix and BANG! There it is—a real vintage sound for what are usually digital-sounding mixes.”
