Apogee Sound International (Petaluma, Calif.) announced that Ken DeLoria, president and founder of Apogee Sound Inc., has left the company on good terms to pursue other interests. Steven Walker is now manaing director at Apogee Sound.
After 18 years of designing and providing cutting-edge loudspeakers, amplifiers and other products for the pro audio industry, DeLoria will now turn his attention to consulting, commissioning, tuning and operating sound reinforcement systems for installs and events worldwide. “I am delighted to focus on the branch of the audio industry where the rubber meets the road,” commented DeLoria. “I enjoy live performances and the challenges associated with providing top-notch sound reinforcement, especially in difficult acoustic environments.”
Past events that DeLoria has worked on include six Grammy Award shows, seven Academy Award shows, two Super Bowls, numerous Broadway and West End musicals, political conventions, the 1996 Summer Olympics and many more large-scale installs.
