Santa Monica, CA (May 16, 2014)—Apogee Electronics has announce that its partnership with Live from the Artists Den will continue, with the Symphony I/O recording platform recently used to capture performances by acts including Adele, Mumford and Sons, Soundgarden, Sara Bareilles and Ed Sheeran. The Artists Den is a globally televised series featuring intimate music performances from high-profile artists in non-traditional and often historic concert settings.

Broadcasting from The New York Public library to the 1920’s charm of L.A.’s Belasco Theater (and just about everything in between), this innovative music platform demands audio recording equipment of the highest quality that is also reliable and flexible. Currently in its eighth season, the acclaimed series now relies exclusively on Apogee’s flagship Symphony I/O audio interface to capture recordings which reflect the complete sonic detail and dynamic range of these musical acts.

The recording rig used by the Artists Den features 64-channels of Apogee’s award-winning Symphony I/O AD/DA conversion, built-in Symphony I/O microphone preamps and an Apogee Symphony 64 | ThunderBridge, an interface which allows Symphony I/O to be connected to a MacBook Pro through a single Thunderbolt cable. All converters, mic preamps and MacBook Pro are mounted in a single 24-unit rack for a remarkably small footprint.

“For years, Apogee’s Symphony I/O has delivered the best sounding live recordings of our TV shows,” says Mark Lieberman, creator and executive producer of Live from the Artists Den. “We are thrilled to collaborate with their team to deploy their state of the art mobile recording system to ensure a superior audio experience for our television audience.”
