At NAB: Adatasol Acquires Studio Suite Software

Recording facility management software nets new owner.

New York, NY (April 9, 2019)—AlterMedia’s studio management software, Studio Suite, and its related assets, have been acquired by Adatasol, an Ohio-based software development company.

AlterMedia first published Studio Suite 22 years ago; the software focuses on budgeting, scheduling, project management, tasks, invoicing, resource management, CRM, equipment inventory, media asset management and more for studios, including those involved in post-production, media divisions of larger corporations, traditional recording facilities and more. The software integrates with QuickBooks, Xero, Google, Outlook, and Apple Calendars, Slack, Twillio, Box, DropBox and Google Drive, and is customizable to match facilities’ varied workflows.

Joel Stoner, founder of AlterMedia and creator of Studio Suite, will continue as a consultant to Adatasol during the transitional period. Key members of the AlterMedia team will join Adatasol’s team of developers.

“We’re excited about the transition of Studio Suite to Adatasol,” said Stoner. “There were a number of companies interested in acquiring Studio Suite, but we chose Adatasol because of its reputation as a leading developer of Filemaker-based products, as well as its commitment to customer service. They also have a great team of developers supporting the company’s aggressive growth strategies. Adding our team to theirs is going to be great for the future of Studio Suite, our customers, and Adatasol. It’s literally a win, win, win.”

Studio Suite is the third acquisition for Adatasol in the last two years, as it previously purchased TourTools, software for the travel and tour industry, and FrameReady, software for the picture framing industry.
