Design. Program: Sound Design at VFS focuses on all
areas related to sound in the visual arts, including those in the film,
television and games industries. Led by award-winning veteran Robert
Grieve, Sound Design provides students with a professionally equipped
facility and a curriculum in tune with the needs of industry, as
determined by VFS’s Advisory Board of high-profile industry
professionals. Sound Design gives students the unique opportunity to
collaborate on projects with colleagues from other departments (3-D
& 2-D Animation, Interactive Media, Film, Acting), providing them
with industry-relevant experience and more compelling portfolios.

Audio Certificates are scheduled for fall 2004. Program: In a
field where women professionals are historically underrepresented, WAM
seeks to create an environment that will encourage and enable the
aspirations of women in the recording arts, and, in turn expand the
vision and voice of media and popular culture. We provide access to
audio technology and training in its use to record sound for music,
radio, film, television and the Internet for women and girls.
