In mid-June, Axxis purchased a dozen V-DOSC and eight dV-DOSC®loudspeakers, plus eight SB218 subs and a variety of LA Seriesamplifier models. Since then, the equipment has been used for 10 daysof concerts at the Kentucky State Fair (Ted Nugent [shown], Joan Jett,Michael W. Smith, etc.), at a large Nashville event called Acteens, innearby Frankfurt for a Toyota Motors event, and as “stacks andracks” for Sheryl Crow’s Louisville tour stop.
Axxis Audio department director Blake Harris said, “This has notbeen an overnight decision; we have been looking at line arrays veryseriously for two or three years now. After examining quite a number ofsystems on the market, we simply felt that the high-end reproductionand pattern control that are achieved by the V-DOSC waveguide is headand shoulders above everything else.

“Furthermore, if we ever have the need for additional cabinets, there are several other V-DOSC providers in the region that we cancross-rent from. Not all of the other manufacturers have the depth ofmarket penetration that L-Acoustics U.S. has.”
Harris and his associates received extensive product training. “Wecame away from Bernie Broderick’s training sessions feeling veryconfident in how to best utilize the products,” Harris reported.”Bernie was terrific and the whole experience of interacting with thepeople back at the main office in California has been overwhelminglypositive. They have truly made us feel like partners.”
