The Cinema Audio Society (C.A.S.) Board of Directors presentedseven-time Oscar-winning re-recording mixer and sound designer GaryRydstrom with the C.A.S. 2004 Career Achievement Award at its 40thanniversary awards banquet, February 21, 2004. The society also awardedChris Jenkins (senior VP, Sound Services, Universal Studios), Ned Price(VP mastering, technical operations, Warner Bros.), Tom Regal (managerof audio restoration at Chace Productions) and Leon Vitali, director ofKubrick Restoration, for the soundtrack restoration of classic StanleyKubrick films, including 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange,Barry Lyndon, Full Jacket and The Shining.
