COUNTERFEIT. Unite with Cavallo in Hollywood

GoT spinoff actor’s band teams with production royalty at United

Hollywood, CA (May 31, 2019)—English punk band Counterfeit (stylized as COUNTERFEIT.) recently visited United Recording in Hollywood with producer Rob Cavallo to record new material for their soon-to-be-released sophomore album, two years after their debut.

Hailing from London, England, the band is comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Jamie Campbell Bower, guitarists Tristan Marmont and Sam Bower, bassist Roland Johnson and drummer James Craig. In addition to his work as a musician, Jamie Campbell Bower is an actor who has starred in various television shows and motion pictures, including three episodes of The Twilight Saga and Guy Richie’s RocknRolla.

“This band has phenomenal talent and powerful stage presence,” said Rob Cavallo, a three-time, Grammy Award-winning producer for artists such as Green Day, Kid Rock and Phil Collins. “They have an extremely loyal fan base and Jamie’s acting career certainly adds a level of excitement to their live shows.”

For their latest project, Counterfeit went into seclusion at an English country house for an immersive songwriting experience. Upon completion, they enlisted Cavallo, engineer Doug McKean and United Recording’s staff engineer Wesley Seidman to record several songs in Studio B.

“I’ve been so fortunate to have a lot of best-selling records come out of these studios, and through the years the vibe has remained consistently top notch, thanks to the incomparable sound and gear among other factors,” said Cavallo. “This is by far my favorite studio.”
