Course Technology Acquires Cool Breeze Systems

Course Technology, part of The Thomson Corporation and provider of corporate and professional learning solutions, announced the acquisition of Cool Breeze

Course Technology, part of The Thomson Corporation and provider ofcorporate and professional learning solutions, announced theacquisition of Cool Breeze Systems and its digital media educationproducts. Cool Breeze Systems produces interactive audio CD-ROMs,tutorials and online classes.

Currently, the Cool Breeze product line focuses on music technology,but the software shell can produce interactive tutorials for manydifferent technologies. This product line will be joining the digitalmedia education line of products and are available online on Muska& Lipman’s Website (www.muskalipman.com), a division of CourseTechnology and publisher of music technology books.

Steve Albanese, founder and president of Cool Breeze, and co-authorof Pro Tools Power from Muska & Lipman is joining Course Technologyas a member of the retail division as a senior product manager.Albanese will focus on expanding the series of music technologytutorials and online classes, but will also embrace the larger focus ofexpanding this product line into other technologies.
