Edmeston, NY (February 7, 2012)–Dangerous Music is congratulating several users associated with 2011 Grammy-nominated projects, including Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Canton Jones and Keb Mo.
Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon share Rock Grammy accolades with Best Rock Album nominations, while the album and songs from the Foo Fighters’ Wasted Light also have nominations for Album of the Year, Best Rock Performance, Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Long Form Music Video. The Foo Fighters album–produced by Butch Vig who’s up for Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical–was mastered by Emily Lazar and Joe LaPorta at The Lodge Mastering in NY, using Dangerous Music equipment.
On Come Around Sundown by the Kings of Leon, nominated for Best Rock Album, engineer and producer Jacquire King co-produced and mixed the project using the Dangerous 2-Bus analog summing amp and Monitor ST monitor controller.
Mastering engineer Glenn Schick is nominated for the artist Canton Jones for Best Gospel Song. Schick was also nominated in 2010 for Best Engineered Album for Widespread Panic’s release.
Nashville producer and engineer John Schirmer of Twelve Tone Music studios recorded and mixed the new Keb Mo album, The Reflection, which is nominated for Best Blues Album.
Engineers and producers using Dangerous Music equipment at New York’s Stadium Red studios turned out a host of Grammy Award nominations this year, including J. Cole, nominated for Best New Artist; Chris Brown for Best R&B Album; Marsha Ambrosius for Best R&B Performance; and Steven Mackey for Best Engineered Album, Classical, a project mixed by Grammy-nominated engineer Tom Lazarus.
“All of our Grammy-nominated projects at some point were worked on in Stadium Red’s Studio A and Studio C4 with the Dangerous Monitor ST,” says Claude Zdanow, Stadium Red’s founder and CEO.
The Grammy Awards will be televised live on February 12 on CBS.
