Last month, DiGiCo’s D5 Live digital mixing system won Best Console in the Sound Products category at the 2003 Eddy Awards.

At the ceremony, which was held at the John Jay Theater in New York City on June 27, DiGiCo director Bob Doyle accepted the trophy.

The EDDY Awards coincided with the Ninth Annual Broadway Lighting and inaugural Broadway Sound Master Classes (BLMC and BSMC), which hosted nearly 100 up-and-coming lighting and sound designers and experienced designers. The two-part training program in professional lighting and sound design also took place at the John Jay College Theatre. Creative consultant for the launch of the BSMC is sound designer Abe Jacob, who presented the keynote address to kick off the BSMC on Saturday morning. Bob Doyle gave a demonstration of the D5 Live’s capabilities as part of the event.
