EUROVISION SONGS HEARD THROUGH MARTIN W8L

Stockholm-based rental company DM Audio installed a Martin Audio Wavefront Line Array (W8L) system for the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest, held in May at the new 7,100-seat Saku Suurhall in the Estonian capital of Tallinn. DM Audio flew the W8L line array in a configuration of four clusters of six boxes, supplementing the system with Martin W8C cabinets for near-fill and extreme side-angle coverage. Martin’s distributor in China — Hong Kong-based Dah Chong Hong — has received 108 W8L line array enclosure orders. The company also purchased 90 WSX subwoofers, along with 60 of Martin’s classic LE400C floor monitors, plus all appropriate amplification.
