Fort Worth Sounds Adds API

Fort Worth Sound recently transformed its Studio A with the installation of a new API 1608 console.

Fort Worth, TX (May 2 2014)—Fort Worth Sound recently transformed its Studio A with the installation of a new API 1608 console.

Over a span of 25 years and growing out of two previous studios, producer/engineer/studio owner Bart Rose has built Fort Worth Sound. The studio works with bands and singer/songwriters ranging from rock, country, blues and jazz. The new API console completes the transformation of the facility’s Studio A, which has been a project in the making since 2008.

“I wanted a console with amazing analog character, a small-ish footprint, and great reputation in the production world,” shares Rose. “There had been times when a prospective client looked at my control surface and asked, ‘Where’s the console?’ We think you will agree that Fort Worth Sound is one of the finest recording studios in the North Texas area.”

Studio A accommodates the majority of the album recording and mixing projects. Since purchasing the console, Rose has used the console for several recording sessions. “I love the sound of the preamps. Just having amazing preamps with a high-pass filter yields great results on tracks that don’t need EQ.”
