Hard Rock “Digs” Peavy in Biloxi

Peavey Electronics Corporation founder Hartley Peavey donned a shovel to celebrate the ground breaking of the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, Miss. on Tuesday.

Peavey Electronics Corporation founder Hartley Peavey donned ashovel to celebrate the ground-breaking of the new Hard Rock Hotel andCasino in Biloxi, Miss. In fact, Peavey Electronics designed theceremonial shovels specifically for the event using the necks andheadstocks of Peavey bass guitars.

Among the 20-odd statewide dignitaries and celebrities in attendancewere Chris Henderson and Todd Harrell of Mississippi-basedmulti-Platinum rock band 3 Doors Down. Bandmate Matt Roberts, who wasunable to attend, endorses Peavey 5150 AE and Triple XXX AE guitaramplifiers, both of which backed up the event’s live entertainment. Theentire event ran through a Peavey sound system.

The $235 million Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi will include an11-story, 306-room hotel, a Hard Rock Cafe, Hard Rock Casino and HardRock Live performance venue that will feature national touring showsand local music artists.
