Modena, Italy (January 7, 2011)–IK Multimedia has announced the iRig Mic, a handheld condenser microphone for Apple iOS devices.
Designed for vocal and mobile sound needs, iRig Mic is aimed for vocalists, songwriters, and use recording speeches, instruments, performances and so forth. Compatible with the iPhone, iTouch and iPad, the iRig Mic features a unidirectional electret-condenser microphone capsule for recording in both close mic and long distance mic conditions, and real-time monitoring with its dual mini-jack connector. It sports a three-level gain switch, a dual mini-jack connector which allows real-time monitoring on headphones, speakers, mixers and PAs, and can be handheld or mounted on any mic stand leaving the iOS device free for app operation.
iRig Mic also comes with VocaLive free, IK’s new realtime effects processor app suite for the singer and vocalist; iRig Recorder, a new IK free audio recording app; and AmpliTube Free, the popular app for guitar players and songwriters. iRig Mic also works with other vocal and audio recording or processing apps for the iOS platform.
