M-Audio announces shipment of the new Evolution X-Session, a USBMIDI control surface specifically designed for computer-based DJs.
X-Session boasts 16 knobs that users can assign to any MIDIparameter in MIDI-compatible music software and hardware, such asvolume, panning, effects and synth parameters. The 10 assignablebuttons trigger loops and effects, or mute and unmute tracks. Theclassic 60mm cross-fader allows DJs to mix between two assignable audiosources, as well as perform scratches. X-Session comes bundled withAbleton Live XS and Arturia Storm XS.
